Course Description
New Testament is a class designed to educate students about the importance of scripture with an emphasis on the Gospels. Students will learn the connections between the Old Testament and the New Testament, study the various interpretations in the text, study the historical life of Jesus as well as key points in his life and ministry, explore the theological and spiritual significance of Jesus’ Teachings for the lives of people today, and how faith in Jesus is our proper response to his teachings. We will also study the beginnings of Christianity in the Acts of the Apostles and Paul’s letters as well as explain the main ideas from the Christian Scriptures as a whole ending with an overview of the book of revelation.

Grading and Assignments
Grading will be based on a point system with an array of assignments encompassing: Daily Homework, Quizzes, Reflection papers, Projects, Papers, Tests, Final Exam, and Participation.
Extra Credit opportunities will be made available throughout semester

All assignments must be turned in at the beginning of class on the date that it is due

Every day late à one letter grade will be dropped
Daily Assignments and Tests: It is the student’s responsibility to find out missed work. Daily assignments missed due to an absence should be turned in after the student returns - see teacher for due dates. It is the student’s responsibility to schedule tests with the teacher outside of class time.
